Winner of the Youth Week Book Review Competition Announced!

Thirteen year old Chloe of Raby has won the Youth Week Book Review Competition for her review of Fallen in Love, an installment in the popular romantic teen fiction Fallen series by Lauren Kate.

The competition, run by Campbelltown City Library as part of Youth Week celebrations, required entrants to write a review of a new young adult book in 200 words or less. Entrants were also required to include at least one word from the 2012 Youth Week slogan – ‘IMAGINE. CREATE. INSPIRE.’ Books for review must have been released between January and April 2012.

Chloe won a $50 gift voucher and her picture and review appeared in the Macarthur Chronicle newspaper. Well done, Chloe! To check out the review, please click here.

Library Open Day

Campbelltown City Library is holding an Open Day on Saturday 26 May from 10am - 3pm.

Activities include face painting, treasure hunts, multilingual storytimes, behind the scenes tours, jumbo book sale, ebook reader demonstrations, sausage sizzle, live music and much much more! So make your way to HJ Daley Library this Saturday to join in the fun! See you there!

HSC Lectures 2012

From Thursday 7 June to Tuesday 3 July, Campbelltown City Library Service will be running a number of HSC lectures for students in conjunction with Camden, Wollondilly and Wingecaribee Libraries. These lectures cover three important areas of study, including the English Area of Study: Belonging, Study and Essay Skills and Creative Writing. 

HJ Daley Library will also be running an additional HSC Student Information Session with tips on how to get the most out of your study through various library resources. Check out the HSC Lecture Flyer for further details.


Lectures cost $7.50 per person, per lecture.
