School Holiday Activities - Spring 2016

The spring school holidays are fast approaching. Take a look below to see what activities the library will be holding these holidays!

Bookings are essential as places are limited. Any fees paid at the time of booking are non-refundable. Bookings open on Monday 19 September.

HSC Science Drop-in
Need last minute help with Biology, Chemistry or Pyhsics before your HSC exam? Drop into the library and have a free session with a qualified tutor!

When: Tuesday 27 September
Time: 1.30pm - 4.30pm

Age: HSC Students
Cost: Free

Hip Hop Dance Class
Learn how to bust out moves to your favourite tracks. This is a beginner level. No prior dance training required.

When: Wednesday 5 October
Time: 2pm - 3.30pm
Where:Greg Percival Library, Ingleburn
Age: 12 - 18 years
Cost: $2

Children's Book Week 2016


To celebrate Children's Book Week which starts tomorrow any child or young adult who borrows with their library card at any branch of the library from today until Friday 26 August can enter our lucky draw prize. There will be two winners from every branch. Entries open today and close 26 August. All winners will be notified on Friday 2 September.

Upcoming HSC Lecture: The Month Before The HSC


Campbelltown City Library is pleased to announce that Rowan Kunz, CEO of Art of Smart Education and author of Secrets of HSC Success Revealed will be returning to the library once again to share his experience and knowledge with local HSC students.

This free lecture will show students how to maximize HSC results, prioritise their study, boost memory and how to prepare themselves the night before the HSC exam to ensure optimal exam performance.

The Month Before The HSC lecture will be held on Wednesday 24 August from 5.30pm - 7.00pm at Greg Percival Library, Ingleburn.

Rowan Kunz has a large following on YouTube with over 1 million views, and as the CEO of Art of Smart Education he was named one of Australia’s 'top 30 under 30 entrepreneurs'.

Free Comic Book Day - A Big "Thank You"

Free Comic Book Day is over for another year! A big "Thank You" to all who came along, we hope you enjoyed the day. A special "Thank You" to comic artist Matthew Lin and the Macarthur Quidditch Club for helping make the day such a success.

Celebrate Free Comic Book Day on Saturday 7 May!

It's back! Free Comic Book Day arrives at HJ Daley Library on Saturday 7 May!

Dress up and join in the fun between 10am and 3pm - there will be comic giveaways supplied by King's Comics (while stocks last), games and craft, a costume contest, character meet and greets, a comic book sale, a special visit by comic book artist Matthew Lin and a superhero workshop.

It will be a great day for the whole family, we hope to see you there!

Help your teen through the HSC: a session for parents & carers of Year 11 and Year 12 students

With high school students under more pressure than ever to achieve academically, parents are often at a loss when it comes to supporting their teens. In her talk, Sponge Education founder Sarah Carman will explore these issues and provide parents with practical strategies to address them.

Come along to HJ Daley library, meet other parents, and discuss the important issues high school students face.
